PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT

Let us compare some Bible verses to establish God’s desire/instruction and man’s desire/action.
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” (Gen. 1:28 NIV) to: Then they (man) said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; OTHERWISE WE WILL BE SCATTERED OVER THE FACE OF THE EARTH.” Gen. 11:4 NIV) Meanwhile, God desires that His knowledge spreads through the whole world.
“Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.” (Isa. 40:2 NIV)
Jesus said: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Mat. 28:19-20 NIV)
Paul added: “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Rom 10:13 NIV)
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” (Isa. 6:8) IS THERE ANYONE WILLING TO GO? If there is no one willing to share knowledge, Paul’s question becomes relevant:-
“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” (Rom. 10:14 NIV) But you say, I am not called. God has not spoken to me. That is not my calling. The pastor’s robe is not for me. I cannot speak in public. You are saying you want to hoard the knowledge of Him who saved you.
Isaiah only experienced God’s presence and he volunteered to go (Isa.6:8) You have experienced His touch, His anointing through the Holy Spirit and you are still convincing yourself that you have not been called. The disciples huddled themselves in the upper room afraid of the Jews but when the Holy Spirit came on them, they received power and did extraordinary things. (John 20:19, Acts 2:2) “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Have you received power? Until you GO, you will not know how much power the Lord God has placed in you. (Mark 16:15-18) Moreover, you just open your mouth and God will fill it - He will speak through you (Psa. 81:10). Not willing to share Him is deadly.
THE WORD: “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” (Mat. 9:37-38 NIV)
