PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT.
June 23rd, 2025SINNERS IN THE HAND OF AN ANGRY GOD.
(Recommended reading Deuteronomy 32)
There is a subtle race between Grace and Judgement that doesn't look obvious but ever present. It is the line between obedience and disobedience and the abundant provision of Grace for whosoever is willing to sail in it. Because, after Grace, is Judgement. Grace, that unmerited favour has a life span. It expires when Jesus Christ comes back for His own. "Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, ............." (Heb.9.27-28.NIV)
Currently, God is the pillar holding us, shielding, pampering, showering all with Love and gentling calling us to repent and accept His Son as Saviour.
The foot of the hardened heart will one day slip and there will be no redemption. "It is mine to avenge; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them.” (Deu.32.35.NIV) Meaning that there will be a time the world will face the same Jesus they denied. "You (Jesus) will break them with a rod of iron; you will dash them to pieces like pottery.” Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling. Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him." (Psa.2.9-12.NIV) NOW IS THE TIME TO SEEK PEACE AND RECONCILIATION WITH GOD.
Delay is not denial; Jesus is coming back soon. He tarry because He doesn't desire everlasting damnation for sinners but that all should come to Him through Grace and avoid Judgement. "Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, people of Israel?’ (Ezk.33.11.NIV)
May the Lord not spit any of us out. Now is the time to do the needful. Seek Him when He can still be found.
THE WORD: “See now that I myself am he! There is no god besides me. I put to death and I bring to life, I have wounded and I will heal, and no one can deliver out of my hand." (Deu.32.39.NIV)
