ARE YOU FEELING ALONE AND ABANDONED? - Devotional

Are you still holding on, believing in the living God even though every part of you seem to be falling apart? Fear seems to have taken the place of faith?

You seem to be drowning in many waters?
Remember this: 'One with God is majority.' You are already encircled by an unseen heavenly military might led by the Captain of the Hosts of Heaven’s Armies. You need not fear or be downcast because the God we serve is "A present help in time of trouble" (Psa. 46:1)

Elijah faced similar situation and decided to run. God sent an angel to feed him. The king of Syria in an attempt to capture Elisha sent horses, chariots and a great army to Dothan where he lived. Elisha's servant saw the troops and was afraid. Elisha remained confident but prayed that God should open his servant's eyes to see more than is visible to the naked eyes. “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them." (2 Kings.6.16.NIV)
Gideon almost lost all hopes of deliverance from their enemies. Hear his reply when the angel of the Lord appeared to him and said; "The Lord is with you, mighty man of valor!" “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all his wonders that our ancestors told us about when they said, ‘Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt?’ But now the Lord has abandoned us and given us into the hand of Midian.” (Jdg.6.13.NIV). The same Gideon led 300 men to fight nations and won because God was with him.

"But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world." (1 John.4.4.NLT)
We all need to be reminded that God does not abandon His own. "In times of trouble he will shelter me; he will keep me safe in his Temple and make me secure on a high rock. So I will triumph over my enemies around me............" (Psa.27.5-6.GNT)
The devil is a liar. Stop listening to his lies and put on the armor of God. You are not alone.

WORD: "The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you." (Psa.9.9-10.NLT)
