THE SOUND MIND!
In a world where people are losing their minds claiming, as if fashionable, mental health, childhood abuse, dementia, confusions, inability to know right from wrong, and just like that, Paul wrote to Timothy saying; "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of A SOUND MIND. (2 Tim.1.7.NKJV). Some Bible versions use words like self-discipline or self-control but I hear sanity, calmness, peace, clarity, gentleness, an intensity almost surreal, assurance, certainty, not confusion, not misinterpretation, not assumption, not blame, not coloured by other people's interpretations or definitions of You but who God says You are. It is very humbling. When many are saying there is a casting down, you are saying there is a lifting up (Job 22:29).

In all of Job's troubles, he saw what his friends did not see. He was certain that his REDEEMER lives. No ambiguity (Job 19:25). Jonathan, the son of Saul, knew what many people did not know before they knew it. “Don’t be afraid,” Jonathan reassured him. “My father will never find you! You are going to be the king of Israel, and I will be next to you, as my father, Saul, is well aware.” (1 Sam.23.17.NLT)

This sound mind is not manufactured. It is part of the blessings received when we allow the Holy Spirit to manage our hearts. We are able to stand before Kings. Why? Because we are powered by the Spirit of truth - the spirit of sound mind.
The Lord said to Jeremiah, “Don’t say, ‘I’m too young,’ for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. And don’t be afraid of the people, (Jer.1.7-8.NLT)

The Spirit of God is sound mind. The Word of God is sound mind. To Trust Jesus with All you have is sound mind. Even judges sitting in courts want assurance that the testifiers are of sound mind when they swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth. Sound mind exhibits no fear, no second guessing.

WORD: "Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.” (Dan.3.16-18.NLT)
