ARE YOU READY FOR THE RAPTURE?
There is a lot going on about rapture these days. Pastors, Teacher, Preachers, Theologians, all giving us their understanding of the rapture and most emphasized, is that it can happen anytime now. The stage is set. Trying to grasp the time line, what is happening in the world, what awaits those not raptured can send chills into someone's spine and rightly so. It can also be very confusing. Therefore, it about What you need to know versus What you need to do. Let's stay with what you need to do first. One thing that resonates throughout the Bible is readiness, to be alert, to be awake, to get the breastplate of righteousness in place, gird the waist with truth etc (Eph. 6:14-18).
Why do you need to be ready immediately?
“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man." (Mat.24.36-37.NIV)
When the Israelites were leaving Egypt, recall what happened? "This is how you are to eat it: with your cloak tucked into your belt, your sandals on your feet and your staff in your hand. Eat it in haste; it is the Lord’s Passover." (Exo.12.11.NIV). No time for ceremony. Our motto: BE RAPTURE READY.
How?
1. Surrender your life to Jesus now (John 3:16)
2. Repent of your sins.
3. Receive the Holy Spirit
4. Study the Bible to know your Saviour.
5. Stay away from sin and kill your pride.
6. Stay away from distraction.
7. Ensure extra oil for your lamp.
Why?
"So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him." (Mat.24.44.NIV) The flight may be in the dead of the night. There is no room for procrastination. Today is the day of Salvation (2 Cor. 6:2). We have to be well prepared. No room for slothfulness. Many will be left behind due to carelessness. Hold on to your salvation with fear and trembling.

THE WORD: "Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed."
