PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT.

YOUR BODY IS NOT YOUR OWN (1 Cor. 6:19-20).
"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies." (1Cor.6.19-20.NIV)
1. God the Father created you.
2. God the Son redeemed you.
3. God the Holy Spirit indwells in you.
God takes center stage in the lives of His own people. No compromise. In the wilderness, the Tabernacle was at the center of the tents. When the Temple was eventually built for Him by Solomon, it became the center of worship for the nations of Israel. The entire nation went to Jerusalem, the temple location - the physical temple, to worship God. Then, Jesus Christ, the Word that became FLESH, dwelt among humanity for awhile then send us the Holy Spirit to indwell Believers. Holy Spirit is not visible and cannot dwell in houses built by human hands. Hence, the Believers body becomes His dwelling place - the spiritual temple. "However, the Most High doesn’t live in temples made by human hands. As the prophet says, ‘Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Could you build me a temple as good as that?’ asks the Lord. ‘Could you build me such a resting place?"
(Act.7.48-49.NLT). This is the evidence that God does not live in our church buildings. He lives in the body of believers and the gathering of the body of believers is the church.
Your body is not your own; use it to glorify God. We have been bought with a price. "For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God." (1Pet.1.18-19.NLT) Ordained by God before the foundation of the world (Acts 2:23).
Christ's blood purchased us out of the slavery of sin and set us free forever. When we live by the Spirit we will no longer gratify the desires of the flesh (Gal.5:16) To be blessed with the full advantage of the Godhead is to invite them into our hearts and in the process, they will lead us into holiness which is the ultimate goal.
