PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT.
Sept. 1st, 2025
GOD DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE; WHY DO WE?
God does not discriminate nor show favouritism, He only has ground rules - obedient and disobedient beings. "For God does not show favoritism."
(Rom.2.11.NLT) Then Peter replied, “I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right.
(Act.10.34-35.NLT) "There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus." (Gal.3.28.NLT)
God does not discriminate because He does not see man from the outside but from the inside. And the inside of man is either humble or arrogant, godly or wicked, truth or lies, love or hate. But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
(1 Sam.16.7.NLT)
God told Peter, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean." (Acts 10:15). But are we listening? How did we get here, discriminating against anything and everything? It is so bad that we discriminate against denominations! "You are Apollo's and I am Paul's, orthodox and Pentecostal, white garments and coloured garments, black/white/brown. Why? Because we judge according to the flesh (John 8:15) Pharisees against the others! "These people are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage.........These are the people who divide you, who follow MERE NATURAL INSTINCTS and do not have the Spirit." (Jude.1.16-19.NIV) Does this means that we claim to have the Spirit but still operate in the flesh? Or we pretend to have the spirit just to be accepted by the people?! Either way, it is very dangerous for our souls. No one should end up in hell fire.
This is the instruction we received: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark.12.31.NIV) Therefore, discrimination is hate and hate is sin.
THE WORD: "My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism. Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in. If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor by my feet,” have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?" (James.2.1-4.NIV)
