WHO CAN CURSE THOSE GOD HAS BLESSED?
Reading through Exodus chapter 1, one can practically feel the tension, the unease, torment and despair, that the increase in the population of the children of Jacob was destroying the king of Egypt. It must have cost him sleepless nights and real fear that all he could think about was how to reduce them. He said to his people, “Look, the people of Israel now outnumber us and are stronger than we are. We must make a plan to keep them from growing even more. If we don’t, and if war breaks out, they will join our enemies and fight against us. Then they will escape from the country.” (prophesy)
(Exo.1.9-10.NLT)

The king made the Israelites slaves and appointed brutal slave drivers over them hoping to crush them. But the more the brutality, the more the Israelites increased. Then the king charged the midwifes to kill all the new born male children at birth. But this also failed as the midwifes feared God and the Israelites kept multiplying. Then, in the King's desperation, he charged all his people to “Throw every newborn Hebrew boy into the Nile River. But you may let the girls live.” (Exo.1.22.NLT). This too didn't work cause it didn't stop the increase. In fact, he took Moses under his wings as his adopted grandson. He was ignorant of the covenant between God and Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - a promise of land, many descendants and blessings. And this paved way for his downfall because he just didn't understand why his tactics didn't succeed. "What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?" (Rom.8.31.NLT)

Maybe you are going through unspeakable trials right now. And you are thinking it is the end. Has your heart been broken? Has your dreams been crushed? Hold on, don't give up yet because God is preparing something glorious in your favour. You are ready to go from the pit to the Palace. Moses rose from a hidden boy to a Prince in the same Egypt. David from been homeless to becoming the king. You have not written the last chapter of you.

Are you blessed of God? Is Jesus your Lord and Saviour? Does the Holy Spirit indwells in you? Then no one can curse you.

THE WORD: “All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish." (Isa.41.11.NIV)
