PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT

God keeps us in plain sight of our enemies but keeps an unseen gulf between us that the enemies cannot cross no matter how close the distance seems - like sleeping on the same bed with your enemy. God demonstrated this in many instances in the scriptures. God dares the enemies to touch His own and see instant judgement. But we do not see this invisible intervention. All we see and all we know is the visible threat of the enemies which terrifies us.
Evidence one: "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.” (Psa. 23:5 NIV)
Evidence two: “If anyone does attack you, it will not be my doing; whoever attacks you will surrender to you.” WHY?
“See, it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to wreak havoc; no weapon forged against you will prevail,...” (Isa. 54:15-17 NIV)
Evidence three: “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me.” (Psa. 138:7)
Evidence four: When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.” (Psa. 27:2-3 NIV)

God demonstrated it - “The Egyptians—all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots, horsemen and troops—pursued the Israelites and OVERTOOK them as they camped by the sea near Pi Hahiroth, opposite Baal Zephon. As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified and cried out to the Lord.” (Exo. 14:9-10 NIV) The next thing, “Then the angel of God, who had been traveling in front of Israel’s army, withdrew and went behind them. The pillar of cloud also moved from in front and stood behind them, coming between the armies of Egypt and Israel. Throughout the night the cloud brought darkness to the one side and light to the other side; so neither went near the other all night long.” (Exo. 14:19-20 NIV)
God warns the enemies of His own: “Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm" (Psa. 105:15; 1 Chron. 16:22) Anyone who touches you is touching the apple of His eye. You are a sacred being. Do not conform to the world. Keep your body as His Temple.
THE WORD: “The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exo. 14:13-14 NIV)
