PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT
April 19th, 2026.
“But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the Lord’s victory. He is with you, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Go out against them tomorrow, for the Lord is with you!” (2 Chron. 20:17 NLT)
“Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exo. 14:13-14 NIV)
“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm….” (Eph. 6:13-14 NIV)
What is spiritual warfare?
Spiritual warfare is an unseen war between the Kingdom of God and the forces of evil. This is why it is not against flesh and blood - that is, what we see in the physical. It is an ongoing war fought only for and on behalf of the redeemed souls. As many of us that have come out of darkness into God’s marvelous light, there is a war being fought constantly to keep us in the light. It is not by human power or might. We are not equipped enough to fight this war. This is why it is written: “... be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.” “put on the full armor of God.”
What we can do is to keep away from sin as far as humanly possible while seeking God’s help daily to uphold us so that the accuser has nothing to accuse us of. We keep trusting God in all things and ensure that our faith in Christ is steadfast. The kind of faith that is not easily influenced or blown in all directions. We are to stand firm in the face of the storm on His promises.
How do we know there is an ongoing war on our behalf?
“A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.” (Psa. 91:7-8 NKJV) Why?; “Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,...” you have committed to put YOUR TRUST in Him. (Psa. 91:9, vs. 2) During the ten plagues God unleashed on the Egyptians, the Israelites only observed with their eyes, none of the plagues got near them or their dwellings.
It all comes down to this; enter His boat, find a comfortable place to lie down and sleep while the storm is raging because the battle is not yours but His.
THE WORD: “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” (Eph. 6:18 NIV)
