TIME TO CLEAN THE INSIDE OF THE CUP. - Devotional

PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT

July 1st, 2026.

Time to clean the heart. David wrote: "

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." (Psa.51.10.NIV)

What have you planted in your heart?

What are you planting now?

What have you allowed others to plant in your heart?

What are the things growing right now in your heart?

What do you believe you need to handle yourself because God’s approach is not fast enough or because God seems far away?

What have you started harvesting?

And what do you expect to harvest in future?

You have the right to be honest with yourself.

The truth is we all want to harvest good things even those who planted evil want to reap peace, joy and many good things. But is that possible? Because whatever we plant is what we are going to harvest. Some of us are not only planting seeds that are widening the gap between them and the Saviour,  they allow other people space to plant hatred, anger, idolatry, false living, bitterness and more in their hearts. And they want to harvest first place in the kingdom of God.

No! You cannot plant anger and harvest joy. The constant quarrel in your household cannot produce peace. You have to intentionally plant peace, nurture it to grow to harvest peace.

The Psalmist asks: "Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god. (Psa.24.3-4.NIV)

Then the Lord said to him, “Now then, you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness. You foolish people! Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also?" (Luk.11.39-40.NIV)(Gal. 5:19-21)

"So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh." (Gal.5.16.NIV) Allow the Holy Spirit to give you a new heart. "

I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." (Ezk.36.25-26.NIV) Be made whole again.

THE WORD: “Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water." (Heb.10.22.NIV)
