PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT

“Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day NOAH ENTERED THE ARK. THEN THE FLOOD CAME and destroyed them all. “It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. BUT THE DAY LOT LEFT SODOM, FIRE AND SULFUR RAINED DOWN from heaven and destroyed them all. “IT WILL BE JUST LIKE THIS ON THE DAY THE SON OF MAN IS REVEALED.” (Luke 17:26-30 NIV)
In the above Bible reference, three things happen:
Noah was safe in the Ark before the flood came.
Lot already left Sodom and arrived in another city before the fire came.
Jesus says it will just be like that for the rapture. Believers will be evacuated out of planet earth before the rapture.
The only condition is BE READY. Noah was ready and Lot was ready. Are you going to be ready when the Lord shall come?
Jesus says: Just as it was in the days of Noah. Just as it was in the days of Lot. There we have the insight into what will happen when the earth and the unbelievers will be destroyed (Mat. 24:36; 2 Peter 3:10). The Good News is the righteous will be removed safely before the disaster. It matters less if the rapture is tomorrow, or after the Israel/Iran war, or any other events listed in the scriptures. What matters most is your readiness and my readiness.David was certain when he wrote: "For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption." (Psa. 16:10)
In the days of Noah and Lot, one sin was given prominence - sexual perversion (Gen. 6:2 & 5; Gen. 19:4-5) Jude 1:7: Explicitly links the destruction of the cities to "sexual immorality and perversion" as they "gave themselves up to sexual immorality and pursued strange flesh." Ezekiel 16:49-50: links it to arrogance, unconcern for the poor, and the practice of "detestable things". Jesus Christ and the Apostles explicitly referenced both eras as signs of severe cultural decay, warning that similar moral attitudes would precede the end of the age.
What must you do to be part of the safe place before the pending disaster? Believe in Jesus Christ (John 3:16). Confess and repent from your sins. Confess Jesus’ lordship over your life. Noah followed God’s instructions, Lot followed the angels’ instructions, you just follow Jesus Christ. Trust and obey Him.
THE WORD: “Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own….” (1 Cor. 6:18-19 NIV)
