(Hab.2.3.NLT)
There is a process in the natural order of planting and harvesting. "I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase." (1 Cor.3.6.NKJV) The process also suggests that no one can hurry the growth period but to nuture the growing seed.
A seed is expected to produce seeds. This is the multiplier effect so that there will be more seeds for planting and more harvest. God said, "I have given you every seed bearing plants..." (Gen. 1:29). We are not going back to God for seed every planting season. Seed should produce seed. Today, we have seedless fruits in the market. We have generically modified seeds. Farmers will have to return to the shops to buy this type of seeds every planting season. Man has also modified the timing to produce more food in a shorter time to feed the growing population. It is all about "get rich quickly."
In the natural order of things, we also reap what we sow. "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows." (Gal.6.7.NIV) You cannot live a sinful life and expect righteousness. You cannot sow bitterness and expect happiness. "Every seed produces its own KIND" (Gen. 1:11-13).
Harvest is also dependent on the quality and quantity that you sow. "Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously."
(2 Cor.9.6.NIV). This simply shows that by bypassing God's own natural order of things we will be burnt-out because God is involved in every thing we sow from beginning to harvest (1 Cor. 3:6)
Sowing and reaping cuts across all aspects of our lives. Man is a seed. God said to Abraham, "to your seed (descendants) I will give this land (Gen. 12:7).
Talent is a seed. Wisdom is a seed. "Whatever your hands find doing, do it with all your heart." You are sowing to harvest. Every good deed will yield its own kind. "Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy." (Psa.126.5.NLT)
WORD: “Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit."
(Gal.6.8.NLT)
