GOD IS ALWAYS WITH US! - Devotional

Have you ever felt abandoned, frustrated, believing and convinced that you have done everything right yet you have nothing worthwhile to show for it? You have prayed, fasted, moved from mountain to mountain, but nothing! Like Psamist you say; "Because of my groaning, I am reduced to skin and bones. I am like an owl in the desert, like a little owl in a far-off wilderness.  I lie awake, lonely as a solitary bird on the roof. My enemies taunt me day after day. They mock and curse me. I eat ashes for food. My tears run down into my drink because of your anger and wrath. For you have picked me up and thrown me out." (Psa.102.5-10.NLT)

Job felt the same way if not more. Was God present in all his sufferings? The answer is YES. Remember He approved it otherwise, Satan could not have afflicted him. In his despair, Job said: “But if I go to the east, he is not there; if I go to the west, I do not find him. When he is at work in the north, I do not see him; when he turns to the south, I catch no glimpse of him." (Job.23.8-9.NIV)

Why was Job searching for God's presence? So he can plead his case, saying: "My feet have closely followed his steps; I have kept to his way without turning aside. I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread." (Job.23.11-12.NIV)

Everyone going through 'undeserved' pain, are searching for answers too. One thing is sure, God is always with us whether we are on the mountain or in the valley (Deut. 31:8; Heb.13:5). And like the Psamist you can say; "I  would  have  lost  heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living." (Psa.27.13.NKJV). This is faith in God. He stands with us in our trials to take us to His desired end.
