There are programs on television, social and local media in which the producers are looking for raw and untapped talents. The main objective of the producers is to make money. Sometimes they find naturally gifted persons in the area of interest and other times, they train people for the role.
Meanwhile, each one of us is a treasure unknown, untapped, undiscovered in the normal day to day affair until God needs you (Mark 11:3). That is why humans are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psa. 139:14). The irony is, when God needs you for that treasure He deposited in you, which He alone knows about and often unknown to you, the carrier, instead of a positive response to the calling, you run far away from God as if God's hand is too short to reach you.
God said to Moses: “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts. Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given ability to all the skilled workers to make everything I have commanded you:" (Exo.31.2-6.NIV)
Gideon was scared of his own shadow when the Lord addressed him as mighty warrior (Judg 6:12)
There is a big difference between producers discovery and God's need of you. Success through producers has a short life span and is all about earthly riches. God's calling is everlasting. God's calling is seamless, almost effortless and successful. Peter was a fisherman. His calling brought him to the limelight he never imagined. He lectured professors even though he was not lettered (Acts 4)
Are you still running from God? Are you still thinking that God's need of you is only pastoral? Bezalel didn't work as a pastor. You are in a crowded place right now. Seek God and he will take you to your limelight.
Allow the Lord to untie you into your freedom.
WORD: "If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.” (Luk.19.31.NIV)
