THE PRESENCE OF GOD. - Devotional

PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT.

April 30th, 2025

THE PRESENCE OF GOD.
What is the presence of God?
The presence of God is the "working of God" like we report for work daily even remotely and we mark the register, or clock-in, or simply by work we perform. Any means by which our colleagues/others can testify that we are present in our workplace.

The presence of God is often limited to when we gather in worship, lifting up holy hands, singing, gently rocking, and or praising Him with all of our being. It is so humbling that we make comments like "I feel the presence of God." For some, it is momentarily being transported to a solitary place. Some feels the brushing of the wind or sudden vibration in the body. The truth is, God is much more present and regularly too in our lives every seconds of the day if we allow Him.

In the Garden, He walked; "When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the Lord God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the Lord God among the trees." (Gen.3.8.NLT).
In the wilderness, He was the pillar of clouds and fire. "The Lord went ahead of them. He guided them during the day with a pillar of cloud, and he provided light at night with a pillar of fire. This allowed them to travel by day or by night
(Exo.13.21.NLT)

To Moses, He was the burning bush. "There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the middle of a bush. Moses stared in amazement. Though the bush was engulfed in flames, it didn’t burn up." (Exo.3.2.NLT)

To Joshua, He was the Captain of the Lord’s army. “Neither one,” he replied. “I am the commander of the Lord’s army.” At this, Joshua fell with his face to the ground in reverence....." (Jos.5.14.NLT)

To you and I, His presence is constant. "And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Mat.28.20.NLT)

God is constantly working with us, in us, and for us; guiding, leading, bending, breaking, shaping, speaking to us. He is there in our crooked ways and rough roads, in good and bad times. May His presence ever remain in you.

WORD: "I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me."
(Psa.139.7-10.NLT)
