YOU ARE A WATCHMAN.
A REMINDER!
“Now, son of man, I am making you a watchman for the people of Israel. Therefore, listen to what I say and warn them for me." (Ezek.33.7.NLT)
A similar responsibility is placed on your shoulders in the New Testament: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." (Mark.16.15-16.NIV)
WHAT IS THE IMPLICATION OF YOUR SILENCE?
"If I announce that some wicked people are sure to die and you fail to tell them to change their ways, then they will die in their sins, and I will hold you responsible for their deaths. But if you warn them to repent and they don’t repent, they will die in their sins, but you will have saved yourself."
(Ezek.33.8-9.NLT)
SIMILAR TO THIS IS; "Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me. “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” (Mat.25.44-46.NIV)
WHY IS NOT WARNING UNBELIEVERS A SERIOUS OFFENCE?
"As surely as I live", says the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of wicked people. I only want them to turn from their wicked ways so they can live..........Why should you die? (Ezek.33.11.NLT)
BUT THEN, "How can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent?......"
(Rom.10.14-15.NIV)
YOU ARE THE BRIDGE. As Jesus Christ is the bridge that connects YOU to God, YOU become the bridge to connect unbelievers to Jesus Christ. DO NOT DISCONNECT THE BRIDGE.
WORD: “But I ask: Did they not hear? Of course they did: “Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.” (Rom.10.18.NIV)
