GOD REMAINS FAITHFUL NO MATTER WHAT!
How do you respond when you find that your faith is being tested - when you don't know what God is doing in your life, and your prayers seem to go unanswered? The devil harasses you, your plans are frustrated, your friends desert you, and it seems there is this cloud between you and God. What do you do?
First, you must know and understand where your trust is. Who do you trust? Why do you trust Him? In whatever situation we find ourselves, we must be certain, truly grounded in whom we trust and why.
The song writer asked, 'Will your anchor hold in the storms of life?' WHO IS YOUR ANCHOR?
Some of us have parents, friends, acquaintances who serve as anchors in difficult times. Do they hold, and will they hold to the end?
God, on the other hand, is faithful and remains faithful no matter what. Why?
He is All Knowing, Powerful, ever Present, cannot lie, and immutable. He just cannot change. His Word, once spoken cannot go unfulfilled at whatever cost. God is His own guarantor. He announced and introduced Himself - as he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and FAITHFULNESS, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished;............." (Exo.34.6-7.NIV)
"God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord." (1 Cor.1.9.NIV)
"Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (Lam.3.22-23.NIV)
"If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself."
(2 Tim.2.13.NIV)
Brethren, the storm you face may be fierce. You may feel alone and even lonely. You may be moved to end it all. 1) the situation is building your strength and God-like character in you. 2) be rest assured that; "God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear......." (1 Cor.10.13.NIV)
There is always light at the end of the tunnel.
THE WORD: “So then, those who suffer because it is God's will for them, should by their good actions trust themselves completely to their Creator, who always keeps his promise." (1 Pet.4.19.GNT)
