PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT.
May 16th, 2025GOD WORKS FOR THOSE WHO WAIT FOR HIM.
(Isaiah 64:4 NLT)
"For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, WHO WORKS FOR THOSE WHO WAIT FOR HIM!" (Isa.64.4.NLT) This is a very profound, refreshing, comforting, and confident-filled scripture. In a world that is on hurry mode, impatient, always rushing, not listening but demanding, waiting doesn't fit into the picture and waiting, in the world's interpretation, means that every opportunity will pass one by. There is a sharp contrast here but Isaiah 64:3 throws some light on this. "When you came down long ago, you did awesome deeds beyond our highest expectations. And oh, how the mountains quaked (Isa.64.3.NLT) While, Exodus 34:10 (NLT) takes us back to the beginning; “Listen, I am making a covenant with you in the presence of all your people. I will perform miracles that have never been performed anywhere in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people around you will see the power of the Lord—the awesome power I will display for you."
This was the conversation that took place between God and Moses after the later angrily broke the first sets of stones on which the ten commandments were written. The reason for Moses anger was the impatience of the people. Instead of waiting, they made a Gold Calf, presented it as God and worshipped. GOD WORKS FOR THOSE WHO WAIT FOR HIM. They learned to wait though it took 40yrs.
Moses was summoned before the Lord again and he pleaded on behalf of the people (Exodus 34:9) “O Lord, if it is true that I have found favor with you, then please travel with us. Yes, this is a STUBBORN AND REBELLIOUS people, but please forgive our iniquity and our sins. Claim us as your own special possession.” JUST AS JESUS CHRIST IS STILL INTERCEDING FOR US TODAY.
Have we changed? No, not at all. AND GOD ONLY PERFORM HIS MIRACLES THROUGH THOSE WHO WAIT FOR HIM. Can this be their compensation?
Figure it out! The truth is steering us in the face.
THE WORD: “But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." (Isa.40.31.NKJV)
