PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT.

CHRISTIANITY IS NOT FOR THE FAINTHEARTED.
Christianity in the true sense of the word, is leaving your comfort zone to go with the Comforter. It is God calling you to leave your past to follow Him to where? Known to Him but unknown to you. The connecting thread is TRUST, FAITH. You hear, you feel, but you do not see.

To Abraham, He said; “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you." (Gen.12.1.NIV)
To Peter, He simply said - "Follow Me!"
Shortly after, they heard, they were told; “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves." (Mat.10.16.NIV) What?! Yes, you heard right and your only weapon is: "........And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Mat.28.20.NIV). What do the wolves do to the sheep? Has this thought ever crossed your mind? Did you count the cost? Maybe that is why your faith is still shaky.

“No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” (Luk.9.62.NIV). Are you truly ready to follow like Elisha, never looking back no matter the cost? (2 Ki.2)

The world is full of pleasure but heaven is not, at least, not yet and not here in the world. Can you or are you willing to give all that up?

“But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it? Otherwise, you might complete only the foundation before running out of money, and then everyone would laugh at you." (Luk.14.28-29.NLT). Maybe this is why many are failing. And the scriptures makes it crystal clear that, "you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved" (Mark.13.13.NKJV) WE HAVE TO ENDURE TO THE END TO BE SAVED.

The truth is, no one can run this race without putting on the spirit of perseverance. God knows that He is asking us to do the impossible and that is why He provided a way out in Christ and our Help - the Holy Spirit. You cannot walk the Christian path without the Holy Spirit.

THE WORD: “So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts." (Zec.4.6.NKJV)
