GOD SEPARATES HIS OWN BEFORE JUDGEMENT.
God often shows HIS bigger plans in little things if only we pay attention. First, the wheat and the tares grow together. Those who have the tendency to trust in the Lord or who see the world around them as trusting and unharmful, grow up among enemies unaware of the danger. Check this out; A man’s enemies are members of his own household (Mat.10:36). When the disciples desired to separate the tares from the wheat, Jesus told them not to. Why? Because they still look alike. All children, all members of the same family or community. As we grow older, the cracks begin to show and then, before it's too late, there is separation.
The Israelites and the Egyptians lived in harmony for hundreds of years. Then a Pharaoh came into power who had no historical knowledge of this arrangement. All he saw was that Israel thrived more than the Egyptians. Joseph thrived more than his brothers. Abraham thrived more than other members of his father’s household, Lot thrived better than the Sodomites, the disciples more than the Pharisees, and so on. God takes HIS people out before descending on their enemies with flood, fire, journeys - far away from home. The separation is His protection of His own before He strikes the enemies. God's revenge consumes all in His path. Hence the warning: "touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm." (Psa.105:15)
If you are a believer in Christ Jesus and observant, you may see this pattern in your life too. There will always be a fallout if you are a sheep living among goats. The separation usually should be painless but because we are slow in obeying the prompting of God to leave, or be separated, it causes us some pains. For example, it could be God telling you to resign from your place of work or even the church you attend. Delay then turns into seemingly shameful or unceremonious exit.
This shows us the bigger picture of what will eventually happen when Jesus returns. He will separate the sheep from the goats, wheat from tares, righteous from unrighteous, believers from unbelievers. Even when Jesus rose from the grave, the righteous were not left behind (Mat. 27:52). No one who is righteous will be left behind. Jesus said
THE WORD: “While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled."
