AS A MAN THINKS, SO IS HE.
"Don’t eat with people who are stingy; don’t desire their delicacies. They are always thinking about how much it costs. “Eat and drink,” they say, but they don’t mean it. You will throw up what little you’ve eaten, and your compliments will be wasted."
(Pro.23.6-8.NLT)

Knowledge is power we say. But the power can be small or big, limited or unlimited, think outside the box, or remain in the box, depending on the holder of that Knowledge.

The fact that a person is stingy or miserly does not mean he is poor materially but poor mentally. In his ability to protect what he has, he loses the most important thing - relationship with other people. He may be big in his created world, but he remains really small in the real world. Instead of expanding, he is contracting. If you keep thinking of the cost of toilet rolls and water rate, you will use the toilet but remain uncleaned. Eventually, you will be smelling. Whatever image of yourself you grow inside of you is what you will present to the world around you. You are what you think. If you are always afraid, always suspicious, it is because you lack trust. You do not trust YOU, you cannot trust others.

A baby Eagle grew up among chickens. It did everything like the chickens. It could only fly as high as the chickens. One day it saw a magnificent bird gliding in the sky and asked what bird it is. It was told it is an Eagle. It wished to be like the Eagle unknown to it that it is a Eagle. Why? Because it thinks like the chicken and limited itself.

It is written: "....... I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." (Psa.139.14.NIV). Give and it shall be given unto you but you decided to count the pennies (Luk 6:38). You become what you think.

Moses believed that there was no man in the camp that was capable of judging the people. So he sat from dawn to dusk listening, teaching, counselling and judging over two million people. He was like this everyday until his father in-law showed him that he was dispensable (Exo. 18:14-26).

Why not live the life of Psalms 23 and let the Lord be your Shepherd? He works from the inside out. Soon you will be thinking like the Shepherd and your actions will reflect the Father who is in you. (Prov.3:6
