PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT.

I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST.........
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Phil.4.13.NKJV)
Apostle Paul wrote Philippians 4:13 out of the heart of gratitude. Gratitude to the congregation in Philippi who showed him kindness and took care of him though there was a gap in their giving. Paul explained that even when there was no help from them, he survived based on his faith in Christ who was his support - the pillar that held him together in or out of need.
The verse also screams like the concluding part of a long journey of faith. The time we had little or no faith, the gradual growth, and the realisation of who God is. His provisions, His support, strength, power, things we dared not venture into in the past now seem like child's play, His word finally registering meaningfully with us.
God asked: "Is there anything too difficult for Me?" (Gen. 18:14; Jer. 32:27). So, God is God of all possibilities. Then, He said lean on Me and I will direct your path (Prov.3:5-6). Then we were told that without Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:7). Then we hear Jesus say; greater things than He did we will do if only we abide in Him who is the Vine (John 14-15). Then, Paul's journey in life, when he reflected on his past, was able to see clearly that all along, it was Christ, the corner stone, that had kept him going. He was able to jump over many huddles of life seamlessly through Christ who gave him strength. His life became a clear evidence that with Christ, we can do ALL THINGS. We can do the impossible - things we never dared to think of talk less of attempting.
What we have become today in Christ, we never thought possible years back. What we can endure today without clenching fists leaves us in awe. The height we once believed was out of reach, looks like we were born for the role.
Noah, a farmer, built an Ark which held together carrying in it, the beginning of the second world. Yet, the titanic, built by 'experts', was a disaster. But we will never truly realise our potentials until we allow Christ Jesus to fully manage us and manage our affairs. Until we come to terms with this truth, we can do nothing meaningful.
