WHY ARE YOU STILL ENTERTAINING FEAR?
If you have not given your life to Jesus Christ, you have all the reasons in the world to fear because you have no access to the divine support system that can free you from fear. Fear is real both physically and spiritually and it drives everyone in its grip to death. It makes people do things that result in shame, embarrassment and disappointments. To see clearly and assess your situation with clarity, just ask yourself; why Am I left hollowed inside?
If you are born again, and you still live in fear in spite of what the scriptures say, one or two of the following may be at work:
1. You fear because part of you still disobey God.
2. You fear because you doubt the power of God.
3. You fear because your faith is not yet on solid ground.
Why you should not fear -
The source of fear majorly is Satan. He plays on our lack of knowledge of who God really is. He focuses us on the world and tells us to test God and or bow down and worship him with the promise that he will give us the whole world. (SAME as when he tested Jesus Matthew 4:1-10). It is a bait because he knows we love the world and that makes us enemy of God.
Now, the devil, the tormentor and accuser TREMBLES before God. "You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror." (Jas.2.19.NLT). Jesus told us; “I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning!" (Luk.10.18.NLT) and immediately, He added "Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you." (Luk.10.19.NLT). Do you believe that?
The devil that makes you afraid and that you are afraid of, is himself afraid of the TRUTH. As long as you are on the path of truth, harm yourself with the truth, you will not fear "what can man do to you." TRUTH is light and Satan likes darkness, secret things that when revealed will shatter your world. When you repay evil with evil, you need to fear because you are in the devil's territory. Ask this question and answer truthfully: what do I stand to gain if my assumed 'enemy dies?' The truth is, you gain absolutely nothing. This realisation makes praying for your enemies easier.
Finally, stand in the power of the written word of God. James 4:7; Rom.8:37; 1 John 4:4; John 10:10; Rev. 12:11.
