PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT.
July 5th, 2025THE WORD IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART.
The Word in your mouth and in your heart is God’s power in you. It is like God wearing you like a garment just as He did with Moses. Whoever is not properly equipped cannot be on the mission field.
God does not send anyone out without adequate preparation. That is because of the nature of the message and because of the nature of the people He is messaging. He said to Ezekiel; "But the people of Israel are not willing to listen to you because they are not willing to listen to me, for all the Israelites are hardened and obstinate." (Ezek.3.7.NIV). While Jesus said; “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves." (Mat.10.16.NIV)
The preparation:
With Jeremiah - Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. [10] See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.” (Jer.1.9-10.NIV)
With Ezekiel - So I opened my mouth, and he fed me the scroll. “Fill your stomach with this,” he said. And when I ate it, it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth............I have made you as obstinate and hard-hearted as they are. I have made your forehead as hard as the hardest rock! So don’t be afraid of them or fear their angry looks, even though they are rebels.” (Ezek.3.2-3,8-9.NLT)
With John - Then the voice from heaven spoke to me again: “Go and take the open scroll from the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land.”...........So I took the small scroll from the hand of the angel, and I ate it! It was sweet in my mouth, but when I swallowed it, it turned sour in my stomach. Then I was told, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages, and kings.” (Rev.10.8,10-11.NLT)
With you and I - Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you." (Luk.10.19.NLT). Have you received that?
We must have His word in our mouths and hearts. And His fire must accompany His word, otherwise, we cannot be effective on the field.
THE WORD: “Let these false prophets tell their dreams, but let my true messengers faithfully proclaim my every word. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STRAW AND GRAIN! Does not my word burn like fire?” says the Lord. “Is it not like a mighty hammer that smashes a rock to pieces?"
(Jer.23.28-29.NLT)
