PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT.July 13th, 2025
THERE IS A PATH THAT SEEMS RIGHT.
"There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death." (Prov.14.12.NLT)
How can we know that we are on this seemingly right path even before we get to the end of it?
1. Dissatisfaction. This path screams of complaints, grumbling, accusations, and blames. Initially, this path seems to have all the trimmings of success but the success is short lived. Jesus replied, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.” (John.4.13-14.NLT)
2. Self based. This path is the 'me' syndrome, self-centered. It has no room for any other person (not even the parents nor spouse). Other people are transactional. "For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!"

3. God is not in their vocabulary. This seemingly right path minimizes God but gives credit to self. Hardly acknowledges that God is the source of everything. "Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things. Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength."

4. Insatiable. "The leech has two suckers that cry out, “More, more!” There are three things that are never satisfied— no, four that never say, “Enough!”: the grave, the barren womb, the thirsty desert, the blazing fire." (Pro.30.15-16.NLT)
There is only one right path - Jesus Christ the only way.
THE WORD: “Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David."
