PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT.

IMPOSSIBILITY MADE POSSIBLE!
This is where God really demonstrates His power. It is in an impossible situation by all human reasoning, with every doubt paralysed that God shines more. As in the wilderness, "There your ancestors tested and tried my patience, even though they saw my miracles for forty years." (Heb.3.9.NLT), where it was impossible for over two million people with no houses, no field for planting, no weapons for threats or war, only faith in an unseen God.

Jonah was swallowed by the Sea, there was no hope of survival - it was impossible. This was "deep calling on deep." In a flash, Jonah saw the depth/bed of the sea. Humans cannot breath normally in water. The sea closed its mouth and all flesh turned their backs and left the scene believing Jonah was dead forever. Meanwhile, God provided a submarine in form of a fish, big enough for a single passenger. And after three days of sailing, the fish harbour and let Jonah out alive. That is God - the real God.

The Psalmist, in a deep place of agony wrote three time in a bible chapter of only eleven verses (Psa 42) "Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God." (Psa.42.5.NIV) - deep place of agony/sorrow/hopelessness and yet Hope. Hope 'for I will yet praise Him.' "I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory." (Psa.63.2.NIV). WE CANNOT GIVE UP ON GOD BECAUSE GOD NEVER GIVES UP ON US. He makes the impossible possible.

'Put me to the test' (Malachi 3:10) and "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." (Isa.43.19.NIV)
The sons of Korah wrote Psalms 42 from a deep place of despair. A deep hallow in the heart that requires a deeper surgical treatment to make it whole again. And there is ONLY one God that can.

"Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me." (Psa.42.7.NIV) - 'I will yet praise you' - FAITH AND HOPE unite. Why? Because the Psalmist has seen God's glory and power before (Psa. 77:10-12). We can always count on God's faithfulness.

THE WORD: "Your ways, God, are holy. What god is as great as our God? You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples." (Psa.77.13-14.NIV)
