PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT.
Sept. 18th, 2025
BETER THAN OUR EXPECTATIONS.
Whenever God takes away, or withheld something from us, He always gives back something better. God does not take what He has not given and when He takes, it is always for something better than our expectations. "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a HOPE." (Jer.29.11.NLT)
God stripped Nebuchadnezzar of all his dignity, sent him to live like an animal among the beasts just to discipline and humbled him. But after seven years, He gave him back all that he thought he lost and better too. Is this familiar? He is the God of HOPE to all who put their trust in Him. “When my sanity returned to me, so did my honor and glory and kingdom. My advisers and nobles sought me out, and I was restored as head of my kingdom, with even greater honor than before. “Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud.” (Dan.4.36-37.NLT)
It was God who closed Rachel's womb because of the cruel treatment Leah received from her. God is God of justice and yet compassionate because He eventually blessed her beyond what she deserved.
"Then God remembered Rachel’s plight and answered her prayers by enabling her to have children. She became pregnant and gave birth to a son. “God has removed my disgrace,” she said. And she named him Joseph, for she said, “May the Lord add yet another son to my family.” (Gen.30.22-24.NLT)
God will never be angry with any of us forever. It is not in His nature and that alone is HOPE for the faithful. Could be why we are encouraged to "Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord." (Psa.27.14.NLT)
Is your soul downcast? Then Listen to the word of wisdom. "Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God!" (Psa.42.11.NLT)
God doesn't forget anyone who remains faithful, consistent, committed, to Him. It doesn't align with His character rather, He is a God who transforms your most devastating years into great seasons.
THE WORD: "In a burst of anger I turned my face away for a little while. But with everlasting love I will have compassion on you,” says the Lord, your Redeemer." (Isa.54.8.NLT)
