PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT.

IT IS ALL ABOUT GOD.
Most of us live our lives focused on ourselves. We think and we believe that life is all about me. In reality, life is not about you or me, IT IS ABOUT GOD. The earth and it's fullness belongs to God not ours. History is His-story not ours. Even our breath is not ours and by extension, our life is not ours but His.
The core problem isn't the fact that we are lukewarm, half-hearted, or stagnant Christians, the crux of it all is we are this way because we have an inaccurate view of God. We see God as a benevolent being who is satisfied when we manage to fit Him into our lives in small ways. God is not asking us for small parts of us but all of our being. Not in small measure but as He gave Himself fully for our redemption. It is unfortunate that we are not paying attention.
God told us in plain words who He is:-
I AM that I AM
I am the Alpha and the Omega
I am the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
I am the Almighty God
I am the Most High God
I am the Good Shepherd
I am the Door
I am the light of the world
I am the Tree of Life
I am the Bread of Life
I am the Fountain of living water
I am the Way
I am the Truth
I am He that was, is, and ever shall be.
I am He that gives and can take away.
I am the Vine and you are the branches.
I am the Potter and you are the clay.
I am He who opens a door and no man can close it.
And when I close a door, no man can open it.
Where are you and where am I in that? We are just not listening because we are too focused on self.
Mankind have always tried to rival God from time immemorial. When that fails, we become rebellious and stubborn. When that doesn't work, we try abandonment until we are forced to see the futility of our folly. We don't stand a chance. The only door open to us is the door labelled SURRENDER AND REPENT - otherwise, it is not going to be a happy ending.
Remember that IT IS ALL ABOUT GOD and not you. Stay connected and you will be fine.
THE WORD: “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (2 Chron.7.14.NIV)
