PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT.

GOD IS PREPARING YOU TO BE USED AGAIN.
Have you ever been so active for God but somehow you seemed to have been forgotten? You were once the delight of your church spiritually, physically and financially. You were called to all meetings locally and at the headquarters. You were known, you were popular. Your immediate family hardly saw you at home, you were working for the Lord. You worked yourself to exhaustion. Then suddenly or gradually you faded into the background. You have too much time in your hand that you don't know what to do with it. God may be preparing you to be used again. He promised: "But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon....Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green." (Psa.92.12,14.NLT)
Samson was a Judge in Israel. Before he was born, the angel of the Lord appeared to his parents. The angel gave them the conditions his mother must comply with for his greatest. "So be careful; you must not drink wine or any other alcoholic drink nor eat any forbidden food. You will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and his hair must never be cut. For he will be dedicated to God as a Nazirite from birth. He will begin to rescue Israel from the Philistines.” (Judg.13.4-5.NLT)
Samson wasn't a giant. He was an ordinary man who committed blunders like any human being but whenever there is the need to show the Philistines who the God of Israel is, the Bible records that "the Spirit of God came mightily upon him." Then one day, he shared his spiritual secret with a harlot, an unbeliever, "do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers." He was drained of his power, but that didn't end his story. God was preparing him to be used again. His shaved hair grew again.
It is not finished until it is finished. You maybe in the cooler today, tomorrow will see you bouncing back to be used by God. Daniel was, after Nebuchadnezzar, pushed aside. But when Belshazzar was lost and no one could read the hand writing on the wall, somebody remembered him and he was back in the limelight. Peter messed up and returned to his known trade - fishing. God was preparing him to be used again.
There is no retirement in the service of God only time for break/rest. While on this break, make sure the Word of God does not depart from you.
THE WORD: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?" (Rom.8.35.NIV)
