GOD ALWAYS HAS A SUBSTITUTE. - Devotional

PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT.
Oct. 15th, 2025

‎GOD ALWAYS HAS A SUBSTITUTE.
‎"...The plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations." (Psa.33.11.NIV)
‎It doesn't matter whether the world likes it or not, the word of God once pronounced cannot be undone. It must come to pass. This is a fact known throughout generations. But Satan has the determination that the plans of God will not see the light of day. This is where and why believers in Christ experience delays. For wherever there is a divine purpose, Satan is always the saboteur. His usual trick is to apply delays, and disruptions, but he CAN NOT CANCEL God's plan. "For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay." (Hab.2.3.NIV)

In the story of Cain and Abel, Abel was the righteous one but Cain was evil and so he killed his brother Abel and it was assumed that righteousness has ceased but God's plan stands forever. So, God made Adam and Eve to conceive and they had Seth which means "substitute." Seth was up right. When Abraham was about to sacrifice Isaac, God provided a substitute - a ram caught in the thicket. If Isaac had been sacrificed, then the promise of God to Abraham would have failed. For He said, "and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you" ‎(Gen.12.3.NIV). But heaven and earth shall pass, yet, His word will not remain unfulfilled.

Jesus was provided as substitute for our sin so that we all will not perish but have everlasting life which was God's original plan.

Are you at a spot now where you are experiencing total hopelessness? Has God made a promise to you directly or are you claiming His promises related to your situation? Just hold on. "Who can command things to happen without the Lord’s permission?" ‎(Lam.3.37.NLT). Delay is not denial and nothing is ever too late for God to do.

God will make a way.

THE WORD: “But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. (2 Pet.3.8.NIV)
