PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT.

GOD'S PERFECT TIMING.
It signifies that God waits to act until the precise moment when conditions are perfectly right for His purpose. "But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship." (Gal.4.4-5.NIV). Christ coming was a major event that happened at the precise moment in history. We also know that God is never late nor early to put His divine plans in place. It can be a major event like the birth of Christ Jesus or seemingly smaller events in the life of His people. And God is in absolute control of all things.
Jephthah was one of the judges in Israel (Judges 11&12) who was rejected by his father's house because his mother was a harlot who had a son with Gilead. There was a comment about Jephthah that his half siblings did not see or heard or made sense of just like in the case of Joseph. Jephthah was a mighty warrior. Some people are destined for greatness and there is nothing the world can do about it because at the fullness of time, it will come to pass.
So, Jephthah was driven away from his father's house and he settled in the land of Tob. “You are not going to get any inheritance in our family,” they said, “because you are the son of another woman.” So Jephthah fled from his brothers and settled in the land of Tob, where a gang of scoundrels gathered around him and followed him." (Jdg.11.2b-3.NIV) Time passed and the people of Ammon made war against Israel and in a twisted irony, it was the elders of Gilead that went in search of Jephthah begging him to come back and lead them to fight against the Ammonites.
Jephthah said to them, “Didn’t you hate me and drive me from my father’s house? Why do you come to me now, when you’re in trouble?” (Jdg.11.7.NIV). That day, the elders made him their leader and agreed to all his terms. Here was a man been denied his birthright to an inheritance in his father's house, now made to lead the whole nation.
The scripture says delay is not denial. Jephthah's exile wasn't significant enough to stop God's plan. His rise to the pinnacle of authority happened just at the right time.
Are you in the waiting room? God will attend to you in His perfect time when the enemies' powers have run out.
THE WORD: "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes." (Psa.37.7.NIV)
