THE BENEFITS OF OBEIDENCE.
We cannot over emphasis the place of obedience in our Christian race. It may read like repetition and sound like an old song, it is the foundation of our eternity.
“If you pay attention to these laws and are careful to follow them, then the Lord your God will keep his covenant of love with you, as he swore to your ancestors.
●He will love you (SECURITY) and
●bless you and
●increase your numbers.
He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land—your grain, new wine and olive oil—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you. (PROSPERITY)
You will be blessed more than any other people; none of your men or women will be childless, nor
will any of your livestock be without young. (CONTINUITY)
The Lord will keep you free from every disease. He will not inflict on you the horrible diseases you knew in Egypt, but he will inflict them on all who hate you. (LONGIVITY) (Deut. 7:12-15 NLT)
THE SEVEN-FOLD BLESSINGS OF ABRAHAM.
1. “I will make you into a great nation
2. and I will bless you;
3. I will make your name great,
4. and you will be a blessing.
5. I will bless those who bless you,
6. and whoever curses you I will curse
7. and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Gen. 12:2-3)
God does not change His mind. Everything that God promised in the Bible to His faithful, is based on the covenant He had with Abraham and as long as we are Abraham in nature, through Christ Jesus, all his blessings remain ours too. Our ticket to access the blessings is OBEDIENCE.
“…… take care to follow the commands, decrees and laws I give you today.” (Deut. 7:11 NIV)
THE WORD: "But God removed Saul and replaced him with David, a man about whom God said, ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart. He will do everything I want him to do." (Act.13.22.NLT)
