" WE DO NOT WAR ACCORDING TO THE FLESH. - Devotional

PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT.
Nov. 11th, 2025

WE DO NOT WAR ACCORDING TO THE FLESH.
“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.  And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.” (2 Cor. 10:4-6 NIV)

Our Weapon: DIVINE POWER
What are we fighting against?
*ARGUMENTS AND PRETENSION THAT ARE AGAINST THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD.
*WE TAKE CAPTIVE, THOUGHTS, UNTIL IT OBEYS CHRIST.
*PUNISH ACTS OF DISOBEDIENCE.
But first, our obedience must be complete because you cannot pull down stronghold if you still speak its language. Meaning, you cannot serve God while still obeying the lust of the flesh and at the same time expect that you can cast out demons or walk on the enemy, or demolish arguments that are against the word of God. What will be the standard? In that case, you will be judging yourself.

When Jesus sent out the seventy, He told them; “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” (Luke 10:19 NIV). 1., that power is divine power. 2., it is bestowed on the disciples of Jesus Christ only. 3., these are followers of Jesus who are determined to leave the world behind them. 4., these are they who obey the word. “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly.” (2 Tim. 2:15-16)

We often quote Isaiah 54:17a. “no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.” But leave out Isaiah 54:17b; “This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord.” This is God’s divine power reserved only for His own.

THE WORD: “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [2] I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” (Psa.91.1-2.NIV)
