PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT

IN GOD’S PLAN –
▪︎There is famine before plenty.
▪︎There is barrenness before fruitfulness.
▪︎There is suffering before relief.
▪︎You have to be a slave before you can gain freedom.
▪︎War before peace
▪︎Mourning before joy
▪︎Weeping before laughter
▪︎Sowing before harvest
▪︎We crawl before we can walk.
“He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.” (Psa. 18:34 NIV) We have just arrived at the training camp of God.
Abraham and Sarah experienced them all. Isaac was not immune to God’s training and teaching of dependence on Him. Jacob had his own fair share at various stages of his life. He was not shielded
from suffering. He served his uncle, Laban, for many years before his freedom. His wife, Rachel, the love of his life was barren for years. It was famine that drove him and his family to Egypt. Thereafter, he became a great nation.
■Adversity is used to test motives and build endurance.
■Scarcity can be a “wake-up call to turn hearts back to God, or a lesson in wise stewardship – storing or saving in times of plenty.
■The lows and uncertainty of life are to train you in endurance not to punish you. It is not the enemy’s winning strategy, though he can be the weapon used to test your resolve. It is building strength and growing your faith in God. It is the process of becoming who God wants you to be. It is a period of preparation for service in His vineyard. It is a period where you learn to say like Paul: “for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength
(dependent on God). (Phil. 4:11b-13 NIV)
In a few hours, 2025 will return to its base and we will enter into the year 2026. It shall be a year of mountain height in Jesus name.
THE WORD: “Because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace.” (Luk.1.78-79.NLT)
