PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT
Feb. 26th, 2026.
Move from INDEPENDENCE (self-reliance) to DEPENDENCE on the Holy Spirit often described as walking in the Spirit, abiding in Christ, or living by faith. This is the heart of the re-birth in Christ through the Holy Spirit - "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you REMAIN in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." (John 15:5 NIV) "...‘Not by might nor by power, BUT BY MY SPIRIT,’ says the Lord Almighty." (Zech. 4:6 NIV)
“For those who are LED by the Spirit of God are the children of God.” (Rom. 8:14 NIV)
“ But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will GUIDE you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.” (John 16:13 NIV)
You need to move from “I can” to “I surrender” just as the children of Israel were led by the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night, so are those who have given their lives to Jesus Christ, be led by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is your compass. Without Him, you will be totally lost in the spiritual wilderness. As the Israelites were totally dependent on God for their daily supplies, both in the physical sense (manna, water) and the spiritual sense, (the law - word), protection against the wiles of the enemies and safe haven to the promised land, so are you to depend on the Holy Spirit. You go when the Spirit says so and you stay when He says so. For you are a man/woman under authority. (Luke 10:19; Mat. 28:18-19; Mat. 8:9). It all comes down to Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) instructs believers to "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths".
"For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." (1 Cor. 6:20 NKJV) This verse highlights that believers were redeemed from sin by the blood of Jesus Christ, meaning YOU BELONG TO GOD.
Let the Spirit of liberty indwell in you and you will not be entangled by sin any more. Where there is no sin, there is no fear. Where there is no fear, there is freedom.
THE WORD: “The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” (Rom. 8:15 NIV)
