PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT

God is justice implies that God is the ultimate, impartial judge who rights wrongs, protects the vulnerable, punishes sin, and acts with perfect integrity. He is righteous, fair, equitable, impartial, and lawful. The Lord says to my lord: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.” (Psa 110:1 NIV). This implies not only justice but revenge as it is written: “I will take revenge; I will pay them back. In due time their feet will slip. Their day of disaster will arrive, and their destiny will overtake them.’ Indeed, the Lord will give justice to his people, and he will change his mind about his servants, when he sees their strength is gone and no one is left, slave or free.” (Deut. 32:35-36 NLT)
So, why do you need to stay on the right side of God? Because the God who was compassionate and merciful to Adam after the fall, and covered him in pure leather fabric but still sent him out of the garden of Eden, (Gen. 3:21) is the same His who commanded the floor in the days of Noah causing unprecedented destruction of God’s creations (Gen. 6:6-8). The same God who went ahead of the Israelites in battles enabling them defeat their enemies is the same God that refused to go to war with them and got many of them killed. (Josh. 7-8) “He allowed no one to oppress them; for their sake he rebuked kings: “Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.” Psa. 105:14-15 NLT) “Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom? Is it not you, God, you who have rejected us and no longer go out with our armies?” (Psa. 108:10-11 NLT) “For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.” (Psa. 30:5 NKJV)
How do I stay on the right side of God? “If you carefully obey the commands I am giving you today, and if you love the Lord your God and serve him with all your heart and soul, then he will send the rains in their proper seasons—the early and late rains—so you can bring in your harvests of grain, new wine, and olive oil. He will give you lush pastureland for your livestock, and you yourselves will have all you want to eat. “But be careful. Don’t let your heart be deceived so that you turn away from the Lord and serve and worship other gods. If you do, the Lord’s anger will burn against you. He will shut up the sky and hold back the rain, and the ground will fail to produce its harvests. Then you will quickly die in that good land the Lord is giving you.” (Deut. 11:13-17 NLT). THERE IS NO FAVOURITISM WITH GOD.
THE WORD: “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” (Rom. 8:32 NIV)
