PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT

Here is when everything comes together.
Adam was MADE in God’s image and likeness but he failed. He lacked the faith required to defeat the deceiver. Abraham, a Gentile and a descendant of Adam was CALLED. He remained faithful and his generations after him until they became numerous and things fell apart. Then came Jesus in the same earthly lineage but the embodiment of God’s Spirit. He was not made and not called but BEGOTTEN. "Begotten, not made" means Jesus is the eternal Son of God, sharing the same divine nature as the Father, rather than being a created being. Derived from the Nicene Creed and scripture (John 3:16), it affirms that Jesus was never "created" or "made" from nothing like angels or humans.
Here is where it gets interesting. You may want to ask; what is the role of the woman in all these? Most especially as it connects Jesus’ earthly lineage/connection. The first woman, Eve, gave the forbidden fruit to her husband making him an accomplice. They were both driven away from the garden. Sarah’s impatience and her advice to her husband led to the birth of the illegal son. Both Hagai and her son were sent away. Rachel, Jacob’s second wife, led the division in the family. And like Sarah, gave her maid to her husband for the same reason. With Jesus, God kept the man Joseph, present but out. And before Mary could become possessive of her husband, her womb was perfect for the birth of the Messiah. Jesus did not marry any woman. He became the groom to all who believed and just like that, He destroyed the power of manipulation, jealousy, envy, hatred. Jesus is the only husband that women willingly share with other women with no satanic influence or personal gains.
Conclusion: First, Israel is the firstborn son of God. Not for superiority but for divine revelation. Jesus is the firstborn of all creation (Col.1:15) for the same reason. Second, Israel was called out of Egypt; Jesus was called out of Egypt (Hosea 11:1; Mat. 2:13-15). Third, Israel was called through water - the Red Sea; Jesus was called through the baptism in the river Jordan. Fourth, Israel was led into the wilderness to be tested and for total dependency on God; Jesus was led into the wilderness for the same reasons.
Finally, at the death of Jesus on the cross, the temple veil was torn from up down throwing the door wide open for anyone who is willing and obedient to come to the Saviour Jesus Christ. He paid the ultimate price.
THE WORD: “Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation……” (Col. 1:21-22 NIV) (MADE INTO PERFECTION)
