PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT

“Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” (Luke 12:6-7 NIV)
“When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?” (Psa 8:3-4 NIV)
Why does God care so much for you and I?
Because we are His children. We are the works of His Hand.
We do not know, neither do we fully appreciate who we are in God. Sin has bastardized our minds and souls, reducing us to nothing even in our own minds. We devalue ourselves. We have all been put down as worthless and we believed it. We shrink at the least of threats. Yes, sin robbed us of closeness to God but that does not erase the fact that we are His children. See why the Prodigal son took center stage! When He realised who he was and who he could be, he decided he was worth more than all the pigs in the world. He was the son of the Father and in that moment he returned and was treated as royalty.
Can you see why Jesus gave Himself for us?! Can you see why God Himself bends the heaven to help us?! (Psa. 18:9) We are the children of the Most High God. God did not make anything else in His image or likeness - only you and only I. Our earthly father only has one of you, not two irrespective of having many children. That makes you unique. You share His DNA. For saying it loud, I share God’s DNA. This is why we have to stop sinning and take the center stage that is ours. Let us stop being illegitimate children, accept His discipline and return to our rightful position.
A child that is the replica of his earthly father is reminded everywhere he goes that he looks like his father. And or he is asked, are you the son of so and so? This is where the scriptures are leading/pointing us - to be like Jesus and to be identified with Him (Acts 11:26)
THE WORD: They do not know, nor do they understand; They walk about in darkness; All the foundations of the earth are unstable. I said, “You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High.” (Psa. 82:5-6 NKJV)
