PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT

The best place to connect with Jesus is in solitude, in the quiet of your soul. That peaceful, inward stillness is such a beautiful and grounding way to center your heart. It creates the perfect space for reflection, prayer, and simply being present with your faith.
The Scripture recommends it - “Be still and know that I am God.” Meaning to slacken, relax, drop, or cease striving. It is not merely a suggestion to relax, but an active command to let go of your struggle and surrender control. For once, stop, take a deep breath, empty the noise in your head, mind, and just breathe, and acknowledge God’s ultimate divine authority. You may ask, how is that possible?
Follow the recommendation in Matthew 6:6 - "But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen…..” It means just that or find a quiet place to sit and meditate. It could be in your house when you are left alone. No radio, no television playing, no phone on, just allow the wonders of God in your life to wash over you. Or like Jesus often did, “...withdrew to lonely places and prayed". (Luke 5:16; 6:12; Mark 1:35; Mat. 14:23) You will be surprised at the result. And even if you heard nothing from God, the relaxed mind re-aligns your entire system and you are renewed.
Moses all alone tending to his sheep. It was in that solitude that God spoke to him from the burning bush but the bush was not burnt. God may show you something when you are quiet within you that you did not see or know before. David learnt a lot about God as a shepherd boy in solitude that shaped his entire life. You may find a quiet place in your soul for God even while you are working your trade. It was in prison that Paul wrote his best Epistles - in solitude but not in the fields or on the mountain. John had to be driven to an Island, absolute solitude, to receive the book of Revelation. The point is, you can find solitude everywhere if you desire to have a one on one conversation with God. It is the door to more revelations. Talk, meditate, ask questions, wait.
But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” (Isa. 40:31) Waiting on the Lord means listening and waiting for His direction. You just don’t pray or read the Bible without waiting for a response from God. You renew your strength when He gives you direction, when He guides your path. David wrote: "I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry." (Psa. 40:1) You hear God more in silence or solitude - in the quiet of your soul. God does not speak through your noise.
THE WORD: “...but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.” (1 Kings 19:11-12 NKJV)
