WHAT HAS GOD ENTRUSTED TO YOU? - KBA Devotional

PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT

July 31st, 2026.

You are alive today for a reason - an opportunity to right your wrongs. Don’t miss it.

What has God entrusted to you? This is the time to look in the mirror.

“Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master entrusts over his household to give them their portion of food at the proper time?” (Luke 12:42) In this single sentence Jesus highlights both our identity (faithful, wise manager) and our assignment (distribute what the Master supplies).

Areas of responsibilities/stewardship and accountability.

  • The Gospel - preach it, live it, and this is mandatory for all believers (Mat. 28:19-20; 1 Thes. 2:4)

  • Spiritual gifts - (1 Pet. 4:10)

  • Time and opportunity - make the most of every opportunity (Eph. 5:16). Schedule life around Kingdom priorities rather than squeezing God into spare moments.

  • Material Resources - (Luke 16:10). Hoarding or sharing?

  • People - “Entrust these things to faithful men” (2 Timothy 2:2). Disciple, mentor, and encourage the believers God places near you.

  • Truth and sound doctrine - defend Scripture’s accuracy, teach it clearly, refuse compromise.  “Guard the good deposit” (2 Timothy 1:14).

You are not at your post accidentally. That job, that rented apartment, that family you married into, that contract, that transfer, that school you are attending, your love for music, for painting, for dancing, your counselling ability, your workaholic spirit, your soft voice and the loud voice, the Samson spirit and the David confidence and much more are all for God’s purposes and use. Are you the servant who multiplies your gift/talent or the one who buries it? We will all give account to God some day.

So, what has God entrusted to you?

“Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their food allowance at the proper time?  It will be good for that servant whom the master finds doing so when he returns. Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But suppose the servant says to himself, ‘My master is taking a long time in coming,’ and he then begins to beat the other servants, both men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk. The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.” (Luke 12:42-46 NIV)

Faithful stewardship today positions you for the Master’s commendation tomorrow.

THE WORD: ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.” (Mat. 25:21 NKJV)
