PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26 NKJV)
Jesus brought three people back to life during His earthly ministry. These were apart from the multitude that came out of the grave at His resurrection (Mat. 27:50-53). The first of these miracles was the son of the widow of Nain (Luke 7:11-17). The widow’s son was dead and there was a large crowd from the city that accompanied the widow to bury her son. This was when Jesus saw her. The widow already lost her husband and now her only son. In that time, a widow with no son faced extreme poverty and loneliness. Jesus had COMPASSION ON HER. “When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” (Luke 7:13 NKJV) Restoring her son saved her from total ruin. "For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion." (Rom. 9:15 KJV) This is God's decision to show mercy - and it belongs to Him alone.
The second was Jarius' twelve year old daughter (Mark 5:21-43). We all know this story which was almost swallowed by the miracle of ‘woman with the issue of blood’. When the girl’s situation from sickness turned to death, Jesus only requested Jarius to believe. “As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only BELIEVE.” (Mark 5:36 NKJV) And his daughter was brought back to life.
The third was Lazarus, the brother of Martha and Mary. The Mary who poured the expensive perfume on Jesus. The Mary who sat at His feet to hear Him teach. The Martha who cooked for Him. The Lazarus who was His friend. “Now Jesus LOVED Martha and her sister and Lazarus……..“Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.” (John 11:5, 11) There was a RELATIONSHIP here and this guaranteed his resurrection even though he was dead and buried for four days.
There are three options available if you want to resurrect and have a new life - Jesus may have compassion on you if you so qualify or believe wholeheartedly even in the most hopeless situation and or build a relationship with Him now and He will never abandon you no matter the situation.
How do you build a relationship with Jesus? Open the door of your heart to Him. Learn His Word, feed Him by helping the needy. Be His friend. Let the world know that you love Him.
THE WORD: “For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.” (1 Thes 4:14 NIV)
