“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land;(Isa.1.18-19.NIV)
When you read the Bible, especially the old Testament, it appears that God has eyes and ears only for the Jews! This assumption is far from the truth and reality of who God is. The Jews were His chosen, His people (Deut. 7:6), His treasured possession (Psa. 135:4), apple of His eye (Zech. 2:8) because of His covenant with Abraham. God showcased them as example to the rest of the world to follow NOT by exclusion. Infact this promise that "And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed," (Gen. 12:3b) sums it up as well as confirmed that God is God of inclusivity.
The rescue of Rahab, a Canaanite, redemption of Ruth the Moabite, the saving of the people of Nineveh, and the lead-up to Jesus' ministry hints that He will demonstrate completely the inclusiveness of all people in God's plan. Moreover, GOD IS ONE and humans are created to be one with God.
There is also no sin that God cannot forgive, except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, as long as the sinner genuinely repent of his sins. For example, the Moabites were the products incestuous acts based on hopelessness. They were Lots descendants, idol worshippers, and one of the greatest enemies of Israel. The repentance of Ruth and her desire and dedication to the true God brought her into God's kingdom and a part of the earthly lineage of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The descendants of Keturah, through Moses' wife, Zipporah, a Midianite, became part of God’s chosen.
Likewise, we are the chosen too through faith in Jesus Christ. No one is excluded when they repent, trust and obey.
WORD: "If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land; [20] but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.” For the mouth of the Lord has spoken." (Isa.1.19-20.NIV)
