EXPERIENCE GOD'S PEACE - Devotional

PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT.

May 10th, 2025

EXPERIENCE GOD'S PEACE.
To experience God's peace, you have to know the PRINCE OF PEACE. "For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." (Isa.9.6.NLT).
Isaiah 9:6 is not the first introduction of the Prince of PEACE. We met Him in the Book of Genesis 14, right after Abraham fought many Kings to rescue Lot. "And Melchizedek, the king of Salem and a priest of God Most High, brought Abram some bread and wine." (Gen.14.18.NLT) Confirmation that peace is preferred to war.
In a world that is chaotic, terror and fear more prominent, the breath of the air of peace is invaluable to all. The only problem is many people still do not know how to access this peace or they are simply in denial. So, who is this Peace?

Jesus introduced Himself as the bringer of Good news in Luke 4:18 and as the giver of peace in John 14:27. “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.
(John.14.27.NLT). His ministry includes that of reconciliation and this is 3-folds. 1. Peace with God (sin separates us from God), 2. Peace within oneself (to experience peace in the midst of many tormenting moments, living in fear of everything, should be golden.) "You will be secure under a government that is just and fair. Your enemies will stay far away. You will live in peace, and terror will not come near." (Isa.54.14.NLT). 3. Peace with others (embracing forgiveness and understanding over violence, misunderstanding etc).

This peace is the balm for our souls, the sound mind that seems foreign for the better part of our lives. The Peace is ours because somebody paid the price of war and came out victorious. The irony is that Abraham didn't need to go to war where peace reigns. Maybe the reason he was met by Melchizedek, King of Salem.

Who is this King of Peace? Jesus Christ is and whosoever needs this peace or wants to experience it, should do John 3:16.

THE WORD: "Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us." (Rom.5.1.NLT)
