PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT.

GENEROSITY LEADS TO PROSPERITY.
It is implied in the Bible that there are two kinds of investments: worldly/material investments or kingdom investments. The returns on the different investments is, according to Jesus Christ to the church of the Laodicean - "You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see." (Rev.3.17-18.NIV). Therefore, TRUE RICHES is in Christ Jesus. Worldly investments yield poor returns.
This is further strengthened by Jesus' words, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
(Mat.25.40.NIV). Therefore, when you give, you give to the Lord. “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel [30] will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life." (Mark.10.29-30.NIV). This is 100 fold returns on investments. "One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." (Prov.11.24-25.NIV and 2 Cor. 9:6-9)
Let us reason together. Everything God created is free for our use. We never need to pay for anything. God has put all things under our control and our use
(Gen. 1:29-30). We become rich or we prosper through the use or processing of these free provisions - (living things in the seas, animals in the forests, herbs/greens, air, water, even the fruits of our wombs.) What we pay for, are processing fees or handling charges. Whichever way you look at it, we are already made rich by all standards. The greatest of our free gifts is life.
Investing in what we already have, (tangible) to acquire more of same, bring little or no satisfaction (Rev. 3:17). Investing in what we do not have and cannot control is more challenging and satisfying. You don't have poverty, invest in the poor. You have good health, invest in the sick. You have house/s, house the poor. You have found faith in Christ, invest in those who have not. These are gold investments and the returns are high.
THE WORD: “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich." (2 Cor.8.9.NIV)
