PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT.

GOD WILL TEACH HIS SHEEP HIMSELF.
Delegation is a wonderful tool in leadership training. A good leader teaches by example and desires that his students will some day be in a position to pass on the knowledge to others. “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." (Mat.5.14-16.NKJV)
If the leaders do well, there will be nothing to hide. But if not, they soon become a secret society. Why will God declare that He will teach His sheep Himself? Because of the failures of the supposed shepherds. Why are the shepherds untrustworthy?
Because of “........shepherds who feed yourselves instead of your flocks. Shouldn’t shepherds feed their sheep? You drink the milk, wear the wool, and butcher the best animals, but you let your flocks starve." (Ezek.34.2-3.NLT). Sheep, like the laity or the congregation benefits shepherds or church leaders.
Every part of the sheep is a source of wealth. Some shepherds exploit the wealth and deny the people true knowledge of the living God. Therefore, the God who sees everything declared He will teach His people Himself. Hence Jesus declares: “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep." (John.10.11.NLT) But the purpose of these false shepherds is "to steal and kill and destroy......." (John.10.10.NLT). "You have not taken care of the weak. You have not tended the sick or bound up the injured. You have not gone looking for those who have wandered away and are lost. Instead, you have ruled them with harshness and cruelty." (Ezek.34.4.NLT)
Any wonder why people are weary of churches today? Every announcement is about money, every preaching has a tone of give and give and continue giving as if the people have no needs of their own. The irony is, the people are to believe that God is their All sufficiency while the false shepherds look on the people as their own 'all sufficiency.'
The work of salvation is in God's hand.
THE WORD: "This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I now consider these shepherds my enemies, and I will hold them responsible for what has happened to my flock. I will take away their right to feed the flock, and I will stop them from feeding themselves. I will rescue my flock from their mouths; the sheep will no longer be their prey." (Ezek.34.10.NLT)
