DISTRACTIONS DISGUISE AS HUMAN PROBLEMS!
Distractions that masquerade as human problems are hindrances to spiritual growth. When Adam and Eve were unaffected by their immediate surroundings, God and God alone was their entire life. After their interaction with the serpent, their world was turned upside down. The Bible says sin entered the world through the first Adam.
This situation gave birth to pains, sorrows, dissatisfaction, chasing of shadows instead of substance, sicknesses, diseases, leading to all the vices listed in Galatian 5:18-20. This situation becomes the normal for all human beings that we have program ourselves into it. That there is no man or woman, old or young that do not have one problem or two. We believe that the problems may be different in nature but carry the same weight in the hearts of sufferers. We all have come to accept this except for what it really is - DISTRACTIONS! Distractions from what? Distractions from God. And distraction is destructive. We turn our backs on the only one who can deliver us until it is almost too late.
Why do real problems be mere distractions? Because the devil design the problem - fallout of sin - to focus us on the problems rather than on God, the only solution to the problems. Satan was determined to test Job to prove he wasn't righteous; but God told him to go ahead but he cannot touch Job's soul. And did he afflict Job! (Job 2:5-6). The devil took Job's children, his wealth, his wife, his health, his friends and more. Is your problem unemployment, Health issues, single, finance, barrenness, weight, your looks, divorce, widowhood, and it seems you are alone in this?
The problems are real but you are not alone. The later is a grandeurs lie that you are alone. The former, the problems are nothing peculiar, it is as old as the fall of Adam. It is in every life but magnified as if you are the only one with such problem. This is followed with shame and frustration.
God provided a way out, a solution to every problem that oppresses us but we focus more on the problems than the God given solutions. A larger percentage of the world do not even know that Jesus is the answer. Jesus was not exempted either. He suffered shame, rejection, stripped of his wealth, lost his earthly father early in life, was single, lived a solitary life but remained focused on God. We ought to do the same.
