THE ACT OF DEFIANCE.
Defiance, in a biblical context, refers to a willful and rebellious attitude against God, His commandments, or His appointed authorities. It is characterized by a deliberate choice to resist or challenge divine authority and order. Throughout Scripture, defiance is depicted as a serious sin that leads to spiritual and often physical consequences. (Topical Encyclopedia)
The scripture says: "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," (Rom.3.23.NIV). THE FIRST SIN THEREFORE, IS REBELLION. The in-between and the last sin is rebellion. The rebellion is against God. It is a natural thing for man to defile God.
Psalms 14:2-3 NIV: "The Lord looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one." And the reason is: "The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good." (Psa.14.1.NIV)
The seed of doubt is woven into the heart of man and it has defined us since its preference by Eve collaborated by Adam. This seed of doubt is what majority of lawyers look for in court cases even when the accused is caught in the act. The seed of doubt gave birth to rebellion - the act of defiance, and rebellion is like witchcraft - absolute darkness. James says: "But when you ask, you must believe and not DOUBT, because the one who DOUBTS is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. THAT PERSON SHOULD NOT EXPECT TO RECEIVE ANYTHING FROM THE LORD (James.1.6-7.NIV). It stands to reason that you can't say there is no God and expect to receive from Him. This may be the first reason prayers are not answered or not promptly. If we must be true to ourselves, there is hardly any request we put to God that doesn't have a tiny tint of doubt. It takes a conscious effort to replace doubt with Faith.
God is real. We just have to find Him. He is very near, we just have to believe it to feel it. He is faithful, we just have to trust Him.
