"IF GOD BE FOR US." - Devotional

PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT
Nov. 29th, 2025

“IF GOD BE FOR US, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US?”
Always bear in mind that God is our refuge. Believers in Jesus Christ will face oppositions but no opposition can ultimately succeed against you because God’s power is supreme. He said to the Israelites, “When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than yours, DO NOT BE AFRAID  OF THEM, BECAUSE THE  LORD  your God, who brought you up out of Egypt, WILL BE WITH  YOU. When you are about to go into battle, the priest shall come forward and address the army. He shall say: “Hear, Israel: Today you are going into battle against your enemies. DO NOT BE FAINTHEARTED  OR AFRAID; DO NOT PANIC OR BE TERRIFIED by them. FOR THE  LORD  YOUR GOD IS THE ONE WHO GOES WITH YOU  to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.” (Deut. 20:1-4 NIV) The same thing He is saying to you today if you believe. Therefore, the battle is not yours especially if you are living a life of obedience to God’s instructions and you do not lean on your own understanding (2 Chron. 20:15; Proverbs 3:5) The ocean may rage, the mountains may quake, terrorist may terrorize, kidnappers may kidnap, and the government may be helpless, you should not fear because God is greater than any earthly or spiritual force.

The killer of faith is fear. It is either you see God, or you see the enemy. It is either you trust God or you doubt Him and therefore, believe the power of the enemy. But hear what the Lord says: “Do not be fainthearted or afraid; do not panic or be terrified by them. For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.” The Word of God is our comfort and assurance. It is either you accept it or reject it.

When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over Israel, they went up in full force to search for him, but David heard of it and went down to the “stronghold.” The stronghold can be a cave but recall that the scriptures say, God is a strong tower; the righteous runs to it and is safe (Prov. 18:10). You too can.

Only fear Him who can destroy  both the body and soul not him that can kill the body only.

THE WORD: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?"
(Rom.8.35.NIV)
