PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY - MEDITATE DAY AND NIGHT

“DO NOT BE AFRAID OF THEM.” (Deut. 3:22)
This is the written word of God but it is unfortunate that we are often afraid of them that are afraid of our God. It is a common knowledge that people who worship other gods are afraid of the Christian God. Read: “Beginning today I will make people throughout the earth terrified because of you. When they hear reports about you, they will tremble with dread and fear.” (Deut. 2:25 NLT) The leaders of Edom are terrified; the nobles of Moab tremble. All who live in Canaan melt away; terror and dread fall upon them. The power of your arm makes them lifeless as stone until your people pass by, O Lord, until the people you purchased pass by.” (Exo. 15:15-16 NLT) “Then the fear of the Lord fell over all the surrounding kingdoms so that none of them wanted to declare war on Jehoshaphat.” (2 Chron. 17:10 NLT) This is still happening today in favour of those who rely on the Lord Jesus because as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be.
How do we know that those who serve other gods are afraid of us?
From experience but most importantly, because God says so. “But Israel is a senseless nation; the people are foolish, without understanding. Oh, that they were wise and could understand this! Oh, that they might know their fate! How could one person chase a thousand of them, and two people put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the Lord had given them up? BUT THE rock OF OUR ENEMIES IS NOT LIKE OUR ROCK, AS EVEN THEY RECOGNIZE. (Deut. 32:28-31 NLT)
So, why are we afraid of shadows?
Shadows do not and cannot hurt anyone. But still, we are afraid because we are unfaithful. Our standing in the Word of God is weak. We are believers but we are unsteady on a solid foundation. We walk by sight not by faith. We have become smoke without fire. These are some of the reasons we are afraid of them that are supernaturally afraid of us.
God says, He will not leave us nor forsake us. He will be with us till the end of time. And if God is for us, who can be against us?! He has given us power to tread upon the serpents and scorpions; and nothing shall hurt us. He has not given us the spirit of fear but of power and sound mind. SO, WHERE IS YOUR FEAR COMING FROM?
THE WORD: “So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom." (Luk.12.32.NLT)
